Connie
Kay's Flightline Pub & Cafe is owned by Connie Kay and Dave Beinkemper.
In 2001 moved to Fort Walton Beach from Cincinnati Ohio to care for Daves
elderly father of 80 years who lost his wife due to cancer and was now left
living alone.
Connie managed
a bar & restaurant for 19 years in Ohio and Dave was a cook in a
country club for several years in his younger days. After remodeling
our house here in Fort Walton they decided to start looking into buying
a little place that they could turn into a restaurant that would serve
good food with home cooked specials at a fair price. Their next door
neighbor happened to tell us about the old Flightline on Eglin Parkway
and they drove up immediately to check it out. As soon as they walked
in they knew it was the right place!
After 6 weeks
of remodeling they finally opened the doors on Aug. 2 and have been
steadily building a good client base with a friendly, warm, comfortable
and smoke free atmosphere. So if you haven't been to the Flightline
lately, or ever you must check it out, it really is a clean and comfortable
friendly place with great food.
